Margie Murray is a painter living in Southern California. She works in oils, watercolor and mixed media. Margie works with a brush and/or palette knife to paint the human figure, floral, mountain and seascapes. She graduated from the University of Southern California and has been a student at Associates in Art studying with Mark Westermoe, Los Angeles Figurative Academy with Ignat Ignatov and the California Institute of Art with Joe Cibere. She teaches teen art at Carter-Sexton Art Store and Gallery in North Hollywood, California. She is currently working on a series of still life paintings done in a classical approach with fellow artist and mentor Otto Sturcke. Margie is one of the featured artists in the California Studio Tour book produced by Cichon Fine Art.
Margie is a member of the California Art Club, San Fernando Valley Art Club, National Watercolor Society, Oil Painters of America, Long Beach Arts and an Exhibiting Member of the Valley Artists Guild.
